woody hard not maleable at all
orangish on inside
0.4 cm pore holes on smaller one,
1 cm pore holes on larger one

at the library still, same book
found a fungi called Cracked-cap Polypore
seems to be very similar. 476
Phellinus rimosus
All the pictures online don't completely match. However it could be a younger, uncracked version?
description seems to fit, look alikes states are
A) P everhartii
B) P igniarius
C) P robustus
A- no
B- no
C- ugh no
